Nose to the keyboard, as usual.

Some time ago, I fell in love.

With Nike outdoor boards. Fallon McElligott print ads. Fast-talking Joe Sedelmaier TV spots. And that Porsche magazine insert (you know, the one about stumbling across a mint-condition 911 in an old barn--and then waking up from a dream). Simply seeing these works of art & copy as a consumer is pretty much all it took to convince me of what I wanted to do with my life (professionally speaking). So I switched majors from Hotel/Restaurant Management to Marketing, started writing ads, and quickly landed my first staff job as a copywriter.

I jumped from agency to agency quite a bit at first, working at a number of different shops in LA and OC. Each one had a different culture, swagger and point of view. I gleaned something from every assignment. And focused on creating work that was unexpected--but still managed to move the needle. Today, many years later as a full-time freelancer, fresh and effective (and somewhat contrarian) creative is still my goal.

Thanks for visiting and sampling my electrons.

Whether an hourly rate, day rate or project fee, I'm pretty flexible on how I work. Got an upcoming project? You know what to do.
